This company employs young punk kids that they allow to drive the company vehicles. I was inch from getting plowed into, I was at a dead stop and the truck was traveling at about 60 MPH. He didn’t even hit his brakes as he nicked my side mirror. I proceed on my way to work and as I came to the last light before by turn I noticed that I was going to be stopping right next to the truck that nearly plowed into me. So I got my cell phone out and took down all the information from the side of the vehicle, as I did this the two punks in the truck started throwing their hands up in the air and shouting “What you gonna do? Call! That’s fine; nothing is going to happen to me! So go ahead and call you f***ing bi**h!” Then the light turned green and I proceed to work, once at work I called the company. I had to leave a message and never received a call back! So I ask you, is this the type of company you want to do business with?

When I first encountered Colorado Smart Staff ie. Mile High Employment, I was turned off the minute I walked in their office. It is located in the top of a Wells Fargo building in the back corner. You would never know it was even there till you open the door. When you go in there are a few chairs for you to wait in and then there is a 20 something year old girl behind the counter that is rude, loud and really doesn't even want to be there. The phone seriously rings about every 45 seconds and she just says the same rehearsed thing to every caller. I waited up front and filled out paperwork and then gave it back to her. I waited to be seen for about 20 minutes and then was ushered to the back room by an older grumpy woman. She preceeded to ask me what I was looking for and what my experience was. She then told me "Here's how it works". We charge you to find you a job. She found me a job in my field that I was qualified for and then told me they would charge me 10% of what my annual salary would be. I would have to give this agency $5500.00 up front in order to be "hooked up" with a job. After I let her know that I wasn't interested in doing that she became very upset with me like I was wasting her time. I told her that I don't know how employers are actually using her service under these conditions. More or less they are selling the job to the "highest bidder". Not to the most qualified. Do you think they are looking for the most qualified candidate for their clients? No, they are looking for whoever it is that will pay them for finding the job. Later that week she called me back and let me know that she had found me another job, but this time I wouldn't have to pay for her finding it. It was identical pay and very similar work. She refered me to a guy by the name of Dusty that was handeling that account. After interviewing with him and deciding that it would be a good fit and all of that jazz, he set me up for another "video orientation" a few days later. I called him a day prior to the "orientaion" and couldn't get ahold of him. I tried twice that day and left messeges with the high schooler secretary up front. I tried to call him every day for 4 days straight and never heard back. I was a little upset but thought, Well, maybe he is out of town. I then emailed him at an address that he had used to email me my confirmation the week before and never heard back. I am done trying to work with these people. They are very casual and very unprofessional in their business standards. If you want to waste alot of time and effort while trying to find a new job, I suggest you give Mile High Employment a try. They are clowns.

A Business That Should Not Be In Business

This company sold services they never completed to many clients. In an irrational state of paranoia the owner without warning, laid off nearly her entire staff while already behind on a full load of orders. Staff and vendors remain unpaid to the tune of over 6 figures. The avg client who was stiffed on services, each paid $1000 - $12000 for the services not received. The owner misrepresents and flat out lies to clients telling them they will have everything in 24 - 48 hrs repeatedly, week after week, month after month.
In order to stay afloat Platinum7 stopped taking orders to shift to one service "social media management" for which clients pay $2500/mo and there are no deadlines or deliverables. The guarantee for 100 new targeted twitter followers per day is not being delivered on. In short, this company cannot be trusted for their word. It is only a matter of time until federal investigations shut them down.
The only time I witnessed a client receive their overdue order was when they emailed a nasty complaint letter or threatened legal action. The owner's attitude about overdue services is unapologetic at best.
This business should be left in this directory, as it is not as easy to hide from. To date, the company has been "covering up" bad press / complaints online, but this site pulls up.
Platinum7 complaints are heavy & this site already lists disciplinary action from the CO labor board, which corroborates my story. Labor boards in other states will be disciplining them as well, as former employees are learning that they were misclassified as contractors & filing claims.
