Well, I work there now, but I starting visiting Bret shortly after I needed to get glasses for the first time. I thought I would have to wear some goofy looking thing I got from my eye doctor when riding my bike. Luckily, Bret INVENTED the wrap frame prescription technology, right here in Denver. I was able to get some sport glasses and just have him replace the lenses with his technology and I had glasses that looked like they were off the shelf with factory blue mirror coating, but they were my prescription. Nobody knew I even needed a prescription for years because I only needed it for distance and I always wore stylish sunglasses outside. Finally 10 years later I had to start wearing a prescription to see things indoors and at night, but I still get people that don't know I wear glasses, and I've never worn contacts.
More recently after acquiring more and more glasses for different specific uses like night mountain biking, or skeet shooting, Bret and I decided to work together to expand the business. He makes a great product, but there are limitations to production because each set of sport glasses is hand made in his lab in Denver, and they are time consuming. I needed to sell more glasses and keep him off the phone/internet and in the lab grinding lenses. Bret is a workaholic and is constantly working out new ideas, so getting the day to day things done frees up more time for him to innovate. He will still take time to talk with any customer that really wants to speak to him, but the current staff is so knowledgeable, they can generally answer any question or take care of any situation.

I have been at salon 188 for 2 1/2 yrs now and it is really the best salon atmosphere I have ever worked in. Especially now since there is new ownership. I never in my working days have ever been treated so wonderful, and that alone makes me want to do my job as a hair designer and color spet so much better. We truely are a good team to meet and be apart of and we welcome everyone and their family! Great service every time!!!!
