At first I thought it was a joke.

When I first encountered Colorado Smart Staff ie. Mile High Employment, I was turned off the minute I walked in their office. It is located in the top of a Wells Fargo building in the back corner. You would never know it was even there till you open the door. When you go in there are a few chairs for you to wait in and then there is a 20 something year old girl behind the counter that is rude, loud and really doesn't even want to be there. The phone seriously rings about every 45 seconds and she just says the same rehearsed thing to every caller. I waited up front and filled out paperwork and then gave it back to her. I waited to be seen for about 20 minutes and then was ushered to the back room by an older grumpy woman. She preceeded to ask me what I was looking for and what my experience was. She then told me "Here's how it works". We charge you to find you a job. She found me a job in my field that I was qualified for and then told me they would charge me 10% of what my annual salary would be. I would have to give this agency $5500.00 up front in order to be "hooked up" with a job. After I let her know that I wasn't interested in doing that she became very upset with me like I was wasting her time. I told her that I don't know how employers are actually using her service under these conditions. More or less they are selling the job to the "highest bidder". Not to the most qualified. Do you think they are looking for the most qualified candidate for their clients? No, they are looking for whoever it is that will pay them for finding the job. Later that week she called me back and let me know that she had found me another job, but this time I wouldn't have to pay for her finding it. It was identical pay and very similar work. She refered me to a guy by the name of Dusty that was handeling that account. After interviewing with him and deciding that it would be a good fit and all of that jazz, he set me up for another "video orientation" a few days later. I called him a day prior to the "orientaion" and couldn't get ahold of him. I tried twice that day and left messeges with the high schooler secretary up front. I tried to call him every day for 4 days straight and never heard back. I was a little upset but thought, Well, maybe he is out of town. I then emailed him at an address that he had used to email me my confirmation the week before and never heard back. I am done trying to work with these people. They are very casual and very unprofessional in their business standards. If you want to waste alot of time and effort while trying to find a new job, I suggest you give Mile High Employment a try. They are clowns.

Growers Organic is a wonderful company to deal with; they are both knowledgeable and friendly. If ever we have an issue arise, they are quick to correct the problem, and ensure that it doesn’t happen again. I sincerely appreciate the fact that Brian, on a daily basis has a real connection to the farmers and families he deals with. Growers Organic is great for our community and all the businesses they deal with. I often find myself recommending them to other companies, as that they try to source as locally and sustainably as possible. I’m proud to say, we do business with them.

The Best in the West

I found See Saw Creative after seeing a beautiful set of collateral material for Rose Community Foundation, which Jeff Lukes had produced. I was new to Denver, and was looking for someone that I could introduce to a client that had graphics and web site capability. I hired Jeff and he delivered a perfectly crafted web site for a unique and challenging project. The client loved it. What Jeff brings to the equation is a creative mind, a tireless effort, and the ability to deliver on time and on budget. Jeff is great to work with, and his extensive experience allows him to respond to various industries. Not everyone has that level of expansive expertise. Take a look at his portfolio and see for yourself! Kathy Holmes / Holmes Communications

Always Friendly & Helpful

Tell us about your experience:

I absolutely love this store! Every time I enter, I am *sincerely* greeted by a very friendly staff. Everyone I have encountered is quite helpful and knowledgible. It seems like to project is too big or tricky for them to give advice on. As for selection, Ace Hardware @ Alameda Station has had just about everything I've needed. Once, just once, I was looking for a part that they didn't stock, and an employee recommended another Ace Hardware nearby saying that that location specialized in claw foot tub accessories. =D

I pass by two other Ace Hardware locations on my way home from work each day, yet I go out of my way (just a wee bit) to go to this Ace Hardware location. The service is simply outstanding!

NIghtmare - Do Not Use - They Bill for Services not Provided and Claim Contract Oblicagations That Were Never Agreed Upon

Reviewed Business:
Tell us about your experience:

In short - Stay away from this company. I have never had any issues with any other service company before and believe this company is trying to extort money that they never earned or agreed upon.

After 6 weeks of going without any lawn service I bought a lawn mower and mowed my own lawn and cancelled service through Greens2Extremes. A week later I received a bill for 5 of the 6 weeks plus 2 more weeks for what they called cancellation notice. This was for a grand total of $210 of which there were no services provided for. I explained to them that I was happy to pay for the services they provided and sent off a check to them for every mowing they performed on my property and thought that would be it. Almost 1 year and 4 months later I receive a new invoice with a late payment charge of $211 plus the original and a threat to take me to court. This I have decided to fight on principle alone. No consumer should be asked to pay for any services that were not provided and where there was never any agreement in place to give two week notice for cancellation. Much less I figure after 6 weeks without any mowing, and grass that was well above my knees I believed I had been abandoned by the company, which is why I bought a lawn mower to mow my lawn myself.

This was not the first time this company had skipped mowing me for several weeks and I had to contemplate mowing the lawn myself, but it will be the last time I counted on them to.

In short - Stay away from this company. I have never had any issues with any other service companies before and believe this company is trying to extort money that they never earned or was never agreed upon.

A Business That Should Not Be In Business

Reviewed Business:
Tell us about your experience:

This company sold services they never completed to many clients. In an irrational state of paranoia the owner without warning, laid off nearly her entire staff while already behind on a full load of orders. Staff and vendors remain unpaid to the tune of over 6 figures. The avg client who was stiffed on services, each paid $1000 - $12000 for the services not received. The owner misrepresents and flat out lies to clients telling them they will have everything in 24 - 48 hrs repeatedly, week after week, month after month.

In order to stay afloat Platinum7 stopped taking orders to shift to one service "social media management" for which clients pay $2500/mo and there are no deadlines or deliverables. The guarantee for 100 new targeted twitter followers per day is not being delivered on. In short, this company cannot be trusted for their word. It is only a matter of time until federal investigations shut them down.

The only time I witnessed a client receive their overdue order was when they emailed a nasty complaint letter or threatened legal action. The owner's attitude about overdue services is unapologetic at best.

This business should be left in this directory, as it is not as easy to hide from. To date, the company has been "covering up" bad press / complaints online, but this site pulls up.

Platinum7 complaints are heavy & this site already lists disciplinary action from the CO labor board, which corroborates my story. Labor boards in other states will be disciplining them as well, as former employees are learning that they were misclassified as contractors & filing claims.
