Urban Roots sole mission is to green up the cityscape by catering to the urban gardener –people who have limited space but unlimited desire. “The store was designed expressly for people who live and work in urban settings. Until now, there’s been no convenient place for downtown dwellers to go and get advice and materials for small space gardening,” says master gardener and owner Diane Stahl. “We are deliver stellar customer service and horticultural expertise!”

This charming, slightly understated boutique offers a refreshing and exciting alternative to the ‘big box’ retailers and run of the mill garden centers that dot the suburban landscape. Urban Roots is a neighborhood shop stocked with a carefully selected variety of annuals, perennials, vines, dwarf trees and shrubs, planters & containers, hand tools, delightful one-of-a-kind accessories and other items well suited for urban gardening. Urban Roots landscape division has designed and installed several downtown lofts balconies and postage stamp gardens.
