Bixa is a localy owned and operated business. As part of our environmental commitment we have not owned a car in the last 18years, so it was important to have our business in the comunity we live. The general umbrella of our business would be Organic/Biodynamic, Recycled/Sustainalbe, and humanitarian products. Under this umbrella we carry a variety of products. We feature local artists and designers that fit into these catagories such as: Diane K Designs Making Time Clocks Creature Comfort Crash Pads Lady Luck Jewelry Publish Jewelry The Gathering Place cards and coasters St Claire's Organics Nine Lives Cards Douglas Schenck art We offer coffees, teas, hot cocoa and various food items and candy. (all organic of course) We also carry Intelligent Nutrients Certified Organic Health and Beauty, which include 100% USDA certified organic Hair Care, Skin Care, Aromatics, Nutraceuticals, teas and in-fused chocolates. We have organic t shirts with non toxic printing, recycled non toxic pet toys (made in the USA!) hemp leashes and collars, Hand bags and wallets from award winning Ecoist, recycled telephone wire plates and bowls, recycled album cover bags and vinyl record jewelry, recycled newspaper messenger bags, recycled news paper and magazine art, and much more! We are always on the lookout for local artists working in mediums that are recycled and sustainable.
